It was my 40th birthday yesterday and myself and my dad had the pleasure of sampling the preview service of the new Southeastern Highspeed train service between Ashford and St. Pancras International, what fantastic trains! They were built in Japan by Hitachi and boy, do they shift! They use the dedicated highspeed line all the way only stopping briefly at Ebbsfleet International. They complete the journey in an amazing 37 minutes! You have to pay a little extra to travel on it but it’s definitely worth it! The full service starts next month and will also operate from Dover, Folkestone, Canterbury and Ramsgate, dramatically cutting the journey times from those places.
